Dear Friends,
As you know this is the last year of the Delamere Forest Circuit and the work needed to become the Chester and Delamere Forest Circuit will continue throughout the year. There are many decisions to be made by the two Circuit Leadership Teams and the Circuit Meetings. This will be a very busy year but I find that the more we work together, the more we realise how similar we are and how much shall be gained from this merger. A ‘Get to Know You’ event has been planned for Sunday 9th October between 4.30pm and 6pm at Caldy Valley Church, Chester. The event is called, ‘In this together’. There will be a ‘get to know you time’, a tea/coffee and cake break and then a short act of worship with story and praise. Please do make every effort to attend and use this opportunity to make new friends. At Conference in Southport and at District Synod in Leek we heard some amazing stories about the mission of Methodist churches. They, like us, have an eye to the future and are being proactive in the face of change in both society and the Church. One of these stories heard at the District Synod was about Frodsham Methodist as Andrea, our Young Family Worker, did a presentation about our new venture ‘Messy Mice’. She also took her presentation to the Circuit Meeting as a ‘Good News’ item. Messy Mice is just one of the groups ensuring we make full use of the Annexe and the outside play area. As you read the magazine you will see the number and range of activities for folk of all ages that we hope to squeeze into the next few months! To find out more you could have a look at our website at www.frodshammethodist.org. Please support these events and invite your family, friends and neighbours. I pray that God’s blessing will be upon us and all we do in His name in the coming months. In His Love, Pat Comments are closed.
