International Holocaust Remembrance Day is on 27th January and commemorates the victims of the Holocaust. This year Churches Together is remembering the victims a couple of days early, on Sunday 25th January at the end of the week Frodsham Churches Praying Together.
Our speaker Eric Cohen is a retired primary school head teacher from Liverpool and is coming to talk about the story of his relatives in Vienna, and how they were affected by the Holocaust. Eric now visits schools and adults groups to give interesting and amusing talks on various aspects of Judaism. Even when speaking about the Holocaust to Year 6 children, Eric is able to reassure the school that he will `leave the children smiling` and I (Ruth Basden) have seen this to be true. At the end of one such afternoon the boy sitting next to me told me that he could have gone on listening for a long time. Please join us at 4pm on Sunday January 25th at Frodsham Methodist Church for what should be a very interesting and thought- provoking occasion. The talk will be followed by a ‘Bring and Share’ tea
