At the last District Synod, we were challenged to consider our mission. As part of the visit to the District by the President of Conference, Rev'd. Dr. Roger Walton, and the Vice-President of Conference, Rachel Lampard, they are going to lead a study day on “What might a Church of Holiness and Justice look like?” Roger and Rachel will guide us to think about what it means to be people who are marked by and committed to holiness and justice. So often much of our time and energy can be spent on how to cope with some of the problems we face that it will be good to be challenged a fresh around our calling to be a holy people and live justly.
The day will be at Wolstanton Methodist Church (postcode ST5 0HS) on Saturday 21st January from 10:30am until 3:00pm. Please bring a packed lunch and drinks will be provided. I hope you will be able to join us for what should prove a stimulating and challenging day.
Get in touch with Andrea Ellams if you are interested in attending.
The reflections here are written by members of our congregation.
