Have you heard yet about Weaver Words?
This is Frodsham’s very own Festival of Literature, and will take place from 29th August to 9th September, 2012. All sorts of exciting events have been planned, celebrating the written word in many different forms and including something for all ages. As their contribution to the Festival, Frodsham churches will be putting on a ‘liturgical drama’ on Saturday 8th September at St Luke’s Roman Catholic Church. This has been written by Rev'd. David Copley, and follows the worship pattern of adoration through to blessing. Each Church will be responsible for one or more of the sections (or ‘Acts’). We have undertaken to do the final Act. This involves six voices, who will need to learn their words by heart (it’s not very long!), and it would be good too to have ideas on how this might be staged. Rehearsals will take place during the summer, probably after morning worship. If you are interested in taking part or helping to produce it, there will be a short preliminary meeting at 6.45pm on Tuesday 24th April. There will also be an opportunity for children and young people to take part. One of the Acts is the Daniel Jazz, a lively, fun sung version of the Daniel story. Alison Peate will be training a choir for this, for children in Year 4 and above. For more details about any of this, and how you can become involved, please contact Elizabeth Holmes or e-mail enquiries@frodshammethodist.org. Elizabeth Holmes Comments are closed.
