![]() Starting in December 2013, and running as a trial for 9 months, the first Sunday in each Month is going to offer some new and different ways of worshipping together (the 9.30am Holy Communion service will still be held as normal). We recognise that for the 10.45am congregation it is good to be with the young families and children once in a while, but also that for our young families trying to ensure children sit still and quiet for an hour is almost impossible, and very stressful. So we think we have come up with a great solution which we hope appeals to all people - hence the name of the new service – 4all. Everyone will gather for morning worship at 10.45am – and we will share the first part of the service in worship and song and prayer. We will hear the Word of God in Scripture, either through a reading, or drama, or some other appropriate form of communication. And then we will all decide where we’d like to go to for the next part of the service. There will be 4 options available each month: 1 (Church) Hear a traditional sermon by the Preacher 2 (Hall) Participate in a discussion about the theme and the Bible reading 3 (Craft Room) Artistic response and messy activities on the Bible reading. 4 (Quiet room) A visual focus to help all five senses encounter God in the quiet and stillness. After a period of time in whichever place, we will all join back together in Church for final prayers and a hymn/song and the blessing, and will then have tea and coffee together afterwards. This new venture will replace Cafe Church from December onwards – and we as a Leadership feel that it is God leading us to a new expression of worshipping together as one whole family, united in our faith, and sharing that faith and understanding in ways which are helpful to us. There is no restriction upon which option you choose month by month – you might like to stay with one place, or to experience different ways of reflecting on God’s word. All options are freely available – we just want as a Leadership to encourage all our family to spend time together – and as you are part of that family, won’t you join us too? 10.45am 4all on 1st December!
