Were you there when the Beatles played at the Mersey View or when Seb Coe took part in the Hill Race? Were you a Rose Queen or did you take part in the Carnival Parade? Do you remember the Jubilee street parties or sliding down the Helter Skelter?
If you have any photographs or memorabilia from any of these or other local events then please get in touch. We are planning to hold a special ‘Harvest of Memories’. This event will be in the church hall on Saturday 26th September, and will form part of our Harvest Festival weekend. There will be displays of items (and hopefully music) that we hope will trigger memories that people can chat about over a cup of tea and cake. We will also have information about local groups and organisations that offer support and advice for people suffering from dementia and their carers. More information will follow in the next magazine but if you are interest in being involved in this event please let either Liz Holmes, Carolyn Frayne or Marg Jacks know.
