Our next Lunch Club will be on Wednesday 1st October. We hope you will come and enjoy a light lunch and a chat with us. Lunch will be served at 12.30pm prompt, with doors open from 12 noon. Transport can usually be arranged within the Frodsham area for those who need it. The suggested donation for lunch is £3 each. As usual, to aid catering, we do need numbers in advance, so please make sure you add your name to the Reservation List by e-mailing Marg Jacks on stewards@frodshammethodist.org.
This Sunday we shall be celebrating Harvest at Frodsham Methodist Church, and our service at 0930live! will be one of thanksgiving for all that God has given to us. We will be starting with prayers of thanks, and if you would like to write a short prayer to read out in the service, please bring this along with you.
After the service, in 0930plus in the hall, we would like to get any children who play an instrument to Grade 1 or above (or equivalent) to come to a practice for a new young band. We shall be working on songs that we can use in future 0930live! services to lead worship. KS2 children will meet with Andrea to explore the theme further. Young Minds does not meet this week, but it would be great if any from that group who are musical could bring their instruments and help with the band practice, or assist in Andrea's group. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday The 0930live! team PS: Don't forget 0930live! are decorating the church for Harvest 10am - 12noon Saturday . Seasonal flowers and vegetables will be welcomed, along with any help! As we commemorate the First World War during 2014, the young people of Frodsham Methodist Church invite you to an Evening of Food and Music from 100 years ago, on Saturday 11 October at 6pm in the Church Hall.
Come and sample a First World War-era menu. All ages welcome. Places are limited and are on a first come first served basis. Please RSVP by 1st October to Nadine Read via e-mail enquiries@frodshammethodist.org. It's that time of the year when we start thinking about all things autumnal! So ... We will be celebrating Harvest on Sunday 28th September. After the morning services there will be a 'Bring and Share' Lunch in the Hall. On this occasion, the Ladies Group ladies will be setting this up for us all. We hope that you will try to come along and join with us as we share fellowship together, over what is always lovely food. If you think you can come to the Lunch, please put your name on the list, which will be available each Sunday until 21st September (the Sunday before) or e-mail enquires@frodshammethodist.org. It will be helpful to know if you can bring some food along, so that we don't have to stretch the loaves and fishes too much! But if you aren't yet sure what to bring, you can just add that little detail later! There are usually a few gaps in the 'essentials' to fill and there's always plenty of food if you do not bring any! |
