We are opening for an afternoon of games and crafts. All most welcome. A chance to catch up with people and have fun during half-term.

Please note, there will be no Coffee Morning for Christian Aid on Thursday 16th February due to redecoration of the Parish Church Hall, the usual venue.

Our next Lunch Club will be on Wednesday 1st February. We hope you will come and enjoy a light lunch and a chat. Lunch will be served at 12.30pm prompt, with doors open from 12 noon. 

The suggested donation is £3 each, and transport can usually be arranged within the Frodsham area for those who need it. As usual, to aid catering, we do need numbers in advance, so please make sure you add your name to the Reservation List which is in the foyer today, or ring or e-mail Marg Jacks. Many thanks.

There is a variety of events locally to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

22nd January, 3.30pm: United Service in Chester Cathedral where the preacher will be Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor.

23rd January, 7.30pm: United Service in S. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, Frodsham, where the preacher will be Rev'd. David Copley (Methodist Supernumerary Minister in this Circuit). Followed by refreshments.

18th January: St. Laurence’s Parish Church, 12 noon – 1pm 
19th January: Main Street Community Church (also Wellspring Christian Trust), 10am – 3pm 
20th January: King’s Church, 10am – 11am 
24th January: Frodsham Methodist Church, 10am – 12 noon (followed by soup lunch)

We are delighted that Janet Batey, member at The Hurst Methodist Church, Kingsley, has now completed her Local Preacher studies. 

There will be a special Circuit Recognition Service on Friday 13th January at 7.00pm at The Hurst, when Janet will give her testimony and be received as a fully-accredited Local Preacher.

Hopefully everyone has had a good Christmas break, and is now ready to have the schools return and the Christmas decorations packed away for another year...
 
This Sunday, 8th January, we would normally have an 0930 Live!, but as last year, there will be a Christingle Service at 5pm instead. There will be a party tea and crafts in the hall too, so it's a good opportunity to meet with friends and welcome in 2012.
