The donations that were given to TSS a few weeks ago have helped us to provide clothing and food for many of our asylum seekers. But now we are asking for more, but not money we are asking for your TIME.
We are asking you to donate some of your time. We need people to help with English language tutoring (one-to-one on-line English practice) and Befriending (regular online contact to check on well being of individual asylum seekers). Tutoring and befriending can be combined for some asylum seekers. We also need people to help with food and clothing deliveries and we need a coordinator for volunteers. If you are able to offer some of your time or want to know more about the activities please contact David Scott by leaving a message at TSSHalton (@) gmail.com.
