JMA Collections 2012

26/9/2012

On behalf of JMA, a big thank you to all our collectors who have raised £531.79. Our top collector this year is William Deakin, who raised £94. Well done William! He has won the shield, and we have also won the new Circuit's shield for the first time. So well done everyone!

Diamond Jubilee Sampler

Picture
The Stitching Group, led by Elizabeth Hearn, enjoyed making a special sampler to mark H. M. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and this was presented to the Church on the Sunday of the Jubilee.

The picture shows how beautiful and intricately stitched it is. Our thanks to all the Group for their hard work in making this lasting tribute.

No change to Messy Church dates

21/9/2012

Picture
Several people had asked if Messy Church could be moved to a different night in the week to make it easier for them to get there, but after a very busy Messy Church last week, it has been decided to keep it on the third Friday in the month at 5.15pm.

As ever, all are most welcome to come along and give this fun activity a try. We have lots of crafts in the Church Hall followed by tea together (usually something like pasta or baked potatoes) then a short act of worship before finishing with cakes and tea in the Church Hall.

If you want to know more, get in touch with Andrea Ellams, our Young Families Worker, by e-mail at andrea.ellams@frodshammethodist.org.

Knitting the Nativity!

14/9/2012

Our Church needs to make a new knitted nativity set for Christmas-time. I have some wool that has been kindly donated towards this task. If anyone has any more spare bits of wool please pass then on! I would like to hold a short meeting on Tuesday 25th September at 7pm. If anyone is interested in helping to knit these figures and sheep please come along. If you need transport let Andrea Ellams know on 0774 987 7823.
