Knit & Natter

Alternate Monday afternoons from 2.30pm

Picture
A knit and natter group meets on alternative Monday afternoon’s starting at 2.30 pm meeting in the Quiet Room or Craft Room. We occasionally include crafts, e.g., cards, crochet, flower arranging or anything else that someone might have the expertise and be happy to show us.

The Church have also been asked to knit hats and finger puppets for refugees so if anyone has any spare double knitting wool and would be happy to donate it us or, better still, knit as well will be very welcome.

If you are interested, contact Mrs. Susan Fairbanks. You can e-mail knit (@) frodshammethodist.org for more details.

"Our small group started a couple of months ago when we knitted hats, scarves and handbags for the Christmas Shoebox appeal.

We also have ladies who crochet and sew. If you’re not a knitter we have experts who will help you to get started. Or you could do what I do - which is cast on, start knitting, then my brain goes on a brief holiday to fairy land which means I have to take it off and start all over again! Although the good thing is I’m an expert at casting on! We have ideas for projects, or just bring your own along. Even if you’re not into crafts you can still come along for a hot drink, chat and to share a few laughs. You will be very welcome.
It has been rumoured that some men knit! So why don’t you join us; we can lend you a purple wig if you want to come in disguise."
